Regarded as one of the finest strikers of all-time. Il Fenomeno scored 62 goals in 98 appearances for his country. Followed up a traumatic final in World Cup 1998, to emerge victorious in 2002. Formerly held the record for most World Cup final goals (15). At his peak in the late 1990's, was considered the greatest player in the world, combining blistering pace and superb finishing. One of only 3 players to have won the FIFA World Player of the Year 3 times or more. Played for some of Europe's finest clubs (Barcelona, Real Madrid, both Milan clubs). Scored 352 league goals during his club career in just 518 appearances.
